JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Eastern Kentucky University's Peyton Smith and Jordan LeVasseur earned United Athletic Conference weekly honors after helping the Colonels open conference play with two wins.
 
Smith was named UAC Player of the Week, earning the first weekly honor of her career. LeVasseur was named UAC Goalkeeper of the Week after earning ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week honors three times as a freshman.
 
Smith is on a tear to start conference play, contributing to four out of EKU's five goals last week.
 
Against Austin Peay, the Cincinnati native scored twice in a three-minute span to give the Colonels their first two goals in a 3-0 win. The brace matched her career goal total entering the match and tied the program record for goals in a game.
 
She followed with the opening goal against West Georgia and assisted on Avery May's game-winner in the 83rd minute of a 2-1 victory.
 
Through the first week of conference play, Smith leads the UAC with three goals and seven points and is tied for the conference lead with one assist in UAC matches.
 
LeVasseur, a sophomore goalkeeper from Michigan, earned the honor after posting a shutout and nine saves across two wins last week as the Colonels outscored their opponents 5-1.
 
Against Austin Peay, she made five saves on nine shots faced to record her second shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory.
 
She added four saves against West Georgia, whose lone goal came on a penalty kick. The win was the 12th of LeVasseur's career, moving her into fourth place in program history for goalkeeper victories.
