RICHMOND, Ky. – Three Eastern Kentucky University cross country student-athletes have earned United Athletic Conference (UAC) weekly honors following their performances over the weekend.
 
Cosmas Kiprop has been named the UAC Men's Runner of the Week. Kiprop won the EKU Invitational on Friday at Elmwood Mansion to help lead the EKU men to a victory over Morehead State in the dual meet. The sophomore from Eldoret, Kenya covered the 5K course in a time of 14:47.0.
 
Ann Kiplagat earned UAC Women's Runner of the Week honors. Kiplagat won the women's 4K race on Friday at the EKU Invitational with a time of 15:21.0. The sophomore from Marakwet, Kenya helped lead the EKU women to a victory Morehead State, as well.
 
Dillon Millard was named the UAC Men's Freshman of the Week. Millard finished fourth on Friday at Elmwood with a 5K time of 15:52.0. His performance helped the Colonels capture the team title over Morehead State.
 
The Colonel cross country teams have this weekend off before the Midway XC Invite on September 18 and the John McNichols Invite on September 19 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the site of this year's NCAA Cross Country Championships.
