2007 (Junior): Played in all 18 of the Colonels’ games, and started in all but one of them…scored two goals - one of them the eventual game-winner - in the Colonels’ 3-0 victory over conference foe Jacksonville State (10/14)…chipped in with an assist in 2-1 season-ending victory over Evansville (10/31)…led the team with 26 shots on goal.

2006 (Sophomore): Tied for team-high with three goals and 23 shots...appeared in 18 games, starting 13...scored game-winning goal in season-opening 2-0 victory over Detroit (8/25)...tallied a goal in 2-1 victory over Indiana State (9/10)...scored at Jacksonville State (10/1).

2005 (Freshman): Played in all 16 games with 12 starts…tallied one goal…scored first career goal at Austin Peay (10/16)…recorded five shots.

ACADEMIC: Three-time Colonel Scholar…President’s List for three semesters…Dean’s List for three semesters…member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletic Honor Society and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of varsity soccer…two-time selection to both all-league and all-city first teams…named all-league second team as a sophomore…received Page Award as a freshman.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 5, 1986…daughter of Troy and Sharon Swearingen…One interesting fact about Kayla: Penguins are her favorite animal…Major is Biology, and minor is Chemistry.
