Pimenova played No. 1 singles and doubles the last two years … expected to compete for one of the top spots again this season … teamed with Alexandra Sitnikova to win two doubles titles this past fall – the Queen City Invitational and the Aces Fall Classic … went 7-3 against OVC opponents at No. 1 singles in 2008 … teamed with Sitnikova to win 14 of their final 16 doubles matches in 2008 including both matches in the OVC championships … captured the 2007 UTC Fall Tennis Classic singles title with four straight-set victories including a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Middle Tennessee State’s Elvira Yusupova in the finals … went 12-13 overall and 5-5 against OVC opponents at No. 1 singles as a sophomore … teamed with Sitnikova to go 8-2 versus league foes at No. 1 doubles in 2007 … posted a team-best 16 doubles victories in 2007 … transferred to Eastern Kentucky after one year at Sacramento State … went 4-0 in Big Sky Conference singles competition without dropping a set … graduated from French Gymnasium No. 171 in St. Petersburg … as a junior, she was ranked No. 12 in Russia and No. 2 in St. Petersburg … she also ran track and field in high school … her tennis goals are to play professional tennis after graduating … she enjoys watching sports on television, reading books and hanging out with friends.
