Biography
Hamel is the lone senior on the team and was elected 2010 team captain … possesses solid groudstrokes from both sides … does not make many errors on the tennis court … adds depth to a very talented line-up … played on occasion as a junior mainly at No. 5 or No. 6 singles … won both of her 2009 OVC singles matches in straight sets … two of her four losses last year came in three sets … she also played rugby in high school … in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends and listening to music … she played the drums for six years … her tennis goals are to earn a spot in the starting line-up and help the team win a second straight OVC championship.
