AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009-10
Appeared in 25 of the team’s 29 games … started 18 times, including 11 of the final 12 games of the season … fourth on the team in scoring (7.0 ppg) … made a team-best 39.6 percent of her three-point field goal attempts … in Ohio Valley Conference games only, Colyer shot a league-best 44.7 percent from three-point range … didn’t make her first collegiate three-pointer until January 23 against Morehead State, which started a 10-0 EKU run … in her next game Colyer made three three-pointers … scored in double figures 11 times … after playing in only three of the team’s first seven games of the season, and scoring only two points combined, Colyer exploded for 10 points at Big East-member West Virginia (Dec. 8) … scored 15 points and had a season-high four assists against SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 20) … set a new career-high with 17 points against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 4) and then broke it the very next game with 18 points against Jacksonville State (Feb. 6) … also had a season-high nine rebounds and made 4-of-5 three-point field goal attempts in the game against JSU … had a streak of eight straight games with double-digit scoring performances … through the first 16 games of the season, Colyer averaged 12.3 minutes and 2.3 points per game, but in the last 13 games of the season she averaged 11.5 points, five rebounds and 1.7 assists while playing 34 minutes per game … part of a group of five freshmen that accounted for 57.1 percent of EKU’s points during the 2009-10 season … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2009-10 Colonel Scholar.
