Biography

2010 (Junior): Moved to the backline during her junior season where she started 11 of 13 games before suffering a season-ending injury against Eastern Illinois (Oct. 10) … went the distance in six games, most notably playing every minute of consecutive double-overtime ties with Valparaiso (Sept. 5) and Western Kentucky (Sept. 12).

2009 (Sophomore):
Played in all 19 games and started 16 of them … ranked in the top-10 in the OVC in assists (three) and shots (33) … scored her lone goal of the season in the Colonels’ season opener against Kent State (Aug. 19) … attempted a season-high six shots and recorded her first assist of the season in EKU’s 2-1 win over Winthrop (Sept. 6) … had her best game of the season a week later when she notched a pair of second half assists against BIG EAST foe Cincinnati (Sept. 13), almost rallying the Colonels to a stunning come-from-behind victory over the Bearcats.

2008 (Freshman): In just her first season at EKU, became one of the first soccer players in school history to receive first team All-OVC honors … one of only three Colonels to start all 19 games … scored three goals during the season and all three of them were game-winners … notched her first game-winner in the Colonels’ 1-0 road victory over San Francisco … her final two game-winning goals came during the conference season, Oct. 5 against Austin Peay and Oct. 26 at Jacksonville State, and helped propel EKU to a second seed in the OVC Tournament.

High School and/or Club Experience: A three-time provincial player … a first-team All Star … her high school’s MVP … was a captain on the U-15 Team Ontario that won the Rocky Mountain Cup, and was also a member of the U-17 Team Ontario that won the national championship … played club soccer with the Mississauga Dixie Saints, where she saw great success, winning the 2005 ADIDAS Women’s Invitational Championship, the 2006 Orange Classic Championship, the MAPS Showcase Championship, the Jefferson Cup Championship, and the 2007 Score at the Shore Championship … was also a National Camp participant in 2005, and was an NTC player for one year.

Personal: Born May 20, 1990 … daughter of Garry and Irene Bruce … major is communications with a minor in advertising.
