Biography

2017 (Junior): Appeared in 19 games and started 17 on EKU’s backline … helped the Colonels rank third in the OVC in goals-against average (0.83) and shutouts (four) during conference play … played 1,553 minutes on the year, fourth-most of any non-goalkeeper on the team … went the distance in nine matches during the fall … took a pass from Jordan Foster, made a run up the left side and scored the game-winner at OVC foe Eastern Illinois on September 29, her second-career goal … attempted another shot in the win over Belmont on October 22.

2016 (Sophomore): Solidified herself as one of the top central defenders in the OVC as a sophomore … started every game at center back and played a team-best 1,689 minutes on the season … Did not leave the field of play in 17 of the Colonels’ 19 games … went the distance in EKU’s final 14 games of the season, including the epic double-overtime duel vs. Tennessee Tech in the OVC semifinals … calmly sank her penalty kick in the shootout vs. TTU in the semifinal, helping send EKU to the OVC Tournament title game for the first time ever … her played helped EKU record a program-best 11 shutouts on the season … played a key role in Eastern shutting out seven of its eight opponents during a school-record eight game winning streak from August 25 – September 29 … Eckley and the Colonel ‘D’ blanked six of the 10 OVC foes they faced during the regular season … attempted two shots on goal during the regular season.

2015 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact on the backline as a freshman, as she was the only Colonel to start all 18 games … her 1,541 minutes played were the most on the team by a large margin … displayed amazing fitness and durability by playing every minute at center back in 15 of the Colonels’ final 16 games of the season … played a key role in three shutouts over Ohio Valley Conference foes: a 1-0 win over Austin Peay on September 27, a 2-0 win over UT Martin on October 11 and a 3-0 win over Eastern Illinois on October 16 … scored her first-career goal off a header versus Kent State on September 18 … attempted eight shots on the year, four of which were on goal.

High School and/or Club Experience: a defender from Mount Notre Dame High School in Cincinnati, the same high school that produced 2014 OVC All-Newcomer Team selection Emmi Carroll (five goals, one assist last fall) ... a second team All-Girls Greater Catholic League (GGCL) performer in 2014 and was also named Mount Notre Dame's team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year ... plays club soccer for Cincinnati United Premier, where she is a teammate of fellow 2015 signee Monica Rios.

Personal: Born October 28, 1996 ... daughter of Dave Eckley and Kathy Eckley ... majoring in physics.
