Eastern Kentucky University women’s basketball head coach Greg Todd announced the addition of Ashleigh Fox as an assistant coach on Sept. 16, 2025.
Fox, a native of Gwinnett County, Georgia, joins EKU after spending the past two seasons as an assistant at Augusta University.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ashleigh to our staff,” Todd said. “She has proven herself as one of the top high school coaches in Georgia and gained valuable collegiate experience at Augusta. Her ability to connect with players, teach the game, and bring energy to our gym will make an immediate impact on our program.”
At Augusta, Fox played a key role in player development that helped the program earn a 2024 NCAA Division II Tournament berth, multiple top-25 rankings, and more than five all-conference selections.
The Jaguars went 20-9 overall and 12-6 in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in 2024-25, highlighted by freshman Quinasia Abercrombie being named PBC Freshman of the Year. In 2023-24, Fox helped guide the team to a 22-9 record, 15 conference wins, and 14 road victories.
Augusta finished the year ranked in the top 25 nationally and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2016.
Before Augusta, Fox served as head varsity girls’ basketball coach at Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In her first season in 2021-22, she led the Lady Titans to their second state playoff appearance in program history.
She previously spent five seasons as head coach at Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. In 2016-17, she guided the Lady Eagles to a 6A championship and was named 6A Coach of the Year. Several of her players went on to earn collegiate scholarships.
Fox began her college career as a walk-on at Georgia College, where she became a two-year captain and represented the team on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She was named a PBC Silver Scholar in 2009-10 and a Gold Scholar in 2010-11.
She earned both her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a Master of Arts in Teaching in kinesiology and physical education from Georgia College.
