Eric Soister

Eric Soister is beginning his third season as the Director of Operations for the Eastern Kentucky University women’s basketball team. The native of Flemingsburg, Ky. is responsible for team travel, team managers, film exchange, summer camps and budget.

Soister brings a wealth of Division I basketball experience to the position. He was the head manager of the EKU men’s basketball team for five years (2008-13). During that time, he was responsible for the supervision and management of all managers and volunteers, maintaining an accurate inventory of all equipment and gear, planning and organizing food arrangements for events, games and road trips and coordinating film exchange, editing and production for all practices, games and individual workouts. He was also vital in organizing and executing the Jeff Neubauer Basketball Camp year in and year out.

"Eric brings to the table a variety of experiences after having worked with Jeff Neubauer and the men’s staff here at EKU and he is a Colonel to the core," head coach Chrissy Roberts said. "He has really hit the ground running and I appreciate the energy he brings to bring to our program.”

Soister has also worked for EKU Campus Recreation and in marketing and promotions for the Lexington Legends minor league baseball team over the last few years.

A member of the National Association of College Basketball Managers, Soister graduated from Eastern Kentucky in the summer of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.
