Andrew Fleming

Andrew Fleming was named interim head coach of the Eastern Kentucky University soccer program on August 4, 2015.

He had served two years as an assistant coach on Melissa Barnes' staff.

As an assistant coach, Fleming was very involved in identifying players in recruiting, and executing official and unofficial visits. He oversaw technical training for the team, as well as all aspects of team travel. He was also very involved in film analysis and scouting reports.

He arrived in Richmond after eight years at the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA).

Andrew Fleming was an assistant coach for two seasons before taking over the program in 2015


Fleming joined CESA in 2005 and served as the Director and Assistant Programs Director for the next eight years. He was charged with training CESA’s most elite female athletes as well as marketing them for college recruitment and mentoring them on their correct placement.

Under Fleming’s tutelage, CESA players experienced success on the national stage, winning the USYSA Southern Region and finishing third nationally in 2012 and qualifying for the Champions League ECNL Playoffs.

Fleming, who played for the Virginia Tech men’s soccer team from 1990-92, holds a USSF ‘B’ license and was a member of the South Carolina Olympic Development Program in 2009 and Kentucky ODP in 2014.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Greensboro College in 1999.
