2012 (Junior): Played in 10 games during the season … fired six shots, three of which were on goal … attempted a season-high three shots in a loss to Xavier on Sept. 12 … played a season-high 44 minutes versus Kennesaw State on Sept. 7.
2011 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 20 games for the Colonels, starting six of them … played a season-high 77 minutes in an early-season game at Kentucky (Aug. 21) … attempted seven shots on the season, three of which were on goal … saw 21 minutes of action and fired a shot on goal in the Colonels’ Ohio Valley Conference Tournament contest against UT Martin.
2010 (Freshman): Appeared in all 19 games during her freshman campaign … cracked the starting lineup four games into the season and started every game thereafter, becoming especially important late in the season as she played every minute of the Colonels’ last seven games down the stretch, including their 2-1 loss to Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament … notched her first career assist when she found fellow freshman Hillary Cooper for a goal in the 37th minute of EKU’s impressive 4-0 win over Presbyterian.
High School and/or Club Experience: At Summit Country Day, Akgunduz was a two-time all-state selection, a two-time all-city selection and a three-time member of the Cincinnati Enquirer All Star team … as a senior, she was named the MVP of said All Star game … plays club soccer for the Cincinnati United Premier, who have won three consecutive state championships from 2007-09 … has also played for the Ohio South Olympic Development Program for five years, from 2004-08.
