Euers is one of the strongest doubles players on the team … possesses exceptional volleying skills … will compete for a spot in the middle of the EKU line-up … elected 2009 team captain … won her final four singles matches in 2008, all in straight sets … played No. 6 singles as a junior and went 3-0 against OVC competition … split doubles time with Vera Heimeroth and Meredith Giles last year … played the last two months of the season with Giles and went 9-4 at the No. 2 spot … 2008 team captain … finished with 16 singles victories in 2007, second most on the team … compiled an 8-2 singles record at No. 4 singles against OVC foes in 2007 … won all three of her three-set matches as a sophomore … teamed up with Lucia Vojtkova to go 6-3 against the OVC at No. 2 doubles in 2007 … she won seven of her last 10 doubles matches and finished 12-8 overall in doubles as a freshman … tallied a winning conference record in singles (6-4) at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions in 2006 … she came to Eastern from a top tennis team in New South Wales where she played No. 1 singles and doubles … she placed fifth at the Australia National Schools tournament as a senior … twice captured the Margaret Court Cup in 18-and-under doubles (2003, 2002) … ranked as high as No. 121 in the 18-and-under Australian Juniors … her tennis goals are to win the OVC team championship and earn individual all-league accolades … she enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
