Mhirit enjoys playing tennis from the baseline and has excellent hand-eye coordination … expected to be one of the top players on the squad in 2010 … first Colonel to reach 30 wins in a season as she finished a combined 31-6 in singles in 2008-09 … put together a 14-match winning streak in the spring of 2009 … won both of her 2009 OVC tournament singles matches in straight sets at No. 3 singles … teamed up with Nadja Barz to go 10-2 at No. 3 doubles last year … won two ‘Flight B’ singles titles at Evansville and Cincinnati in the fall of 2008 … spent her freshman year playing No. 4 and No. 5 singles … won nine straight singles matches in the middle of 2008, all in straight sets … won the No. 4 singles match in the 2008 OVC semifinals against TTU’s Kay Ngiam … only played four doubles matches as a freshman … a top-eight player in the Moroccan 18-and-under age group … participated in the 2003 Arabic championships … enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends and going to the beach … she wants to help the Colonels earn another OVC title.
