Murphy finished the season atop the OVC standings, hitting .395 on the season and her .489 on-base percentage was also best in conference before being named  National Fastpitch Coaches' Association all-region. 

The Louisville, Kentucky native finished with the league's third most hits (62) and second most runs scored (42). Her 23 stolen bases were second most in the conference. She successfully swiped 23-of-26 attempted bases last season and was a First Team All-OVC selection.
