Avery Pitt was named a semi-finalist for the 2016 William V. Campbell Trophy. The award recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation. Pitt in a senior occupational therapy major with a 3.45 grade-point-average. He is also a team captain and has a team best 2.5 tackles for loss through three games this season.
