Leland Walker was chosen as the ASUN Conference Newcomer of the Week on Dec. 12.
In two games, Walker averaged 17 points, four assists, two rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 50 percent from the field (10-for-20), 46 percent from 3-point range (5-for-11) and hit on 82 percent (9-for-11) at the free throw line.
The Indianapolis, Indiana native led EKU with 13 points against No. 7 Tennessee. Walker scored a career-best 21 points, dished out a career-high eight assists, had three steals and grabbed three rebounds against Boyce College. He made just one turnover in 24 minutes on the court and shot 7-for-11 from the field.
