As of April 7, Pons has won seven straight singles matches and all seven victories have come in straight sets. The native of Barcelona, Spain has played anywhere between No. 4 and No. 6 singles this spring. He is currently 12-7 in dual matches and 6-0 against OVC opponents.

Pons and the rest of the Colonels are in the hunt for EKU's second straight OVC men's tennis regular season title. The OVC championships are held April 16-18 in Paducah, Ky.
