Eastern Kentucky pulled away in the middle of the game. Eastern pushed across two more in the fourth on an RBI double by DeAnn Horswill and a run scoring single by Melissa Costa. The Colonels extended their lead to 7-0 with three runs in the fifth. Horswill’s second home run of the season in the seventh capped the scoring.

An RBI single by Dollins in the first inning against Towson (10-3) staked Eastern to an early 1-0 lead. The Tigers took control of the game in the third when Joyce Delp launched a three-run home run to right center to cap a four-run inning. Towson added three more over the next two innings.

A run scoring single by Samm Daniels in the sixth cut the deficit to 7-2, but Eastern wouldn’t get any closer. Dollins went 4-for-4 against Towson.
