RICHMOND, Ky. - The Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team will open its home schedule on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. when they host Xavier at EKU Soccer Field. The Colonels have not played Xavier since their inaugural season of 2005 when they lost to the Musketeers, 2-0.

Both teams fell in their respective season openers. The Colonels lost at Louisville, 4-1, on Friday night despite senior Courtney Nestor's first career goal in the second half. The Musketeers, meanwhile, dropped one at Ball State, 2-1, on Friday night.

The Colonels are undefeated in home openers since the program started in 2005 (3-0-2).

Following Sunday's game, the Colonels return to action this weekend when they go on the road to face Kansas on Friday and SIU Edwardsville on Sunday.
