EKU Concludes Six Day Road Trip at SIU Edwardsville

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team has the opportunity to move above the .500 mark Tuesday evening at future OVC opponent SIU Edwardsville. Tip time is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Eastern Kentucky (9-9) is 4-1 in January and has won three straight road games this month. A win over SIUE would give the Colonels their first three-game winning streak of the year.

In the first meeting between the two teams on Nov. 17, the Colonels shot 51.7 percent (31-of-60) from the floor and senior Spencer Perrin notched a career-high 20 points in the 81-65 victory over the Cougars.

SIU Edwardsville is 5-14 overall, but 3-3 on its home court. Three of the Cougars’ home games have gone to overtime this year, including a 94-85 victory over South Dakota on Jan. 8. Corey Wickware leads the team in scoring at 12.4 ppg while Nikola Bundalo averages a team-best 5.8 rpg.
