RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team begins the second half of the OVC schedule Thursday night in McBrayer Arena against Austin Peay. Wazoo Sports Network is televising the game beginning at 7:30 p.m.

As the snow continues to blanket Richmond this winter, EKU will have its own “White-Out” on Thursday. Colonel fans, throw on your white shirts as Aramark and Mountain Dew present EKU’s first-ever “White Out” game. FREE rally towels will be given out to all fans while supplies last along with free samples of Mountain Dew White Out Smooth Citrus Dew.

Eastern Kentucky (11-9, 5-4 OVC) will be in search of its fifth straight win Thursday night. During the current four-game winning streak, the Colonel defense has held the opposition to an average of 50 ppg. However, Austin Peay (13-8, 7-2) scored 78 points in the win over EKU on Dec. 18, marking the most points allowed by the Colonels this season.

The Governors rank second in the conference in scoring (77.3 ppg) and also boast the OVC’s leading scorer in junior guard TyShwan Edmondson (19.8 ppg). Edmondson was named OVC Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 24.0 ppg and 5.5 rpg in two league games last week.

The Governors lead the all-time series, 58-47. Eastern has won the last two meetings in McBrayer Arena, including a 76-71 decision last year.

Storylines
--Senior Josh Daniel needs one more three-pointer to reach 100 for his career. Daniel has netted four trifectas in three of the last five games. However, in the first meeting against Austin Peay, Daniel went 0-for-4 from behind the arc.

--The Colonels attempted a season-high 31 three-point shots at Morehead State on Jan. 22. EKU leads the OVC in three-pointers made per game (8.0) and rank second in three-point shooting (37.0 percent).
