RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team earned 7-0 victories over Cumberland (Tenn.) University and Dayton Friday in the Greg Adams Tennis Center. The Colonels move to 8-2 overall following the two wins.

“Our team’s confidence is sky high right now thanks to winning six straight matches at home,” EKU head coach Rob Oertel said.

Senior Alex Das (No. 1) had a near-perfect day on the court, winning his three matches by a combined score of 32-0.

The Colonels now have a 28-match home winning streak that dates back to a 6-1 loss to Minnesota in February 2009.

EKU hits the road for the next five matches beginning with Wisconsin-Green Bay and Purdue next weekend.
