DeLAND, Fla. – In its first of three spring break matches, the Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team downed host Stetson Monday afternoon, 6-1. This was the first outdoor match of the season for the Colonels (9-3).
EKU earned the team victory by winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Senior
Alex Das (No. 1) tallied his seventh straight victory and moved his record to 9-2 this spring.
“Even though Stetson was playing without its top player today, this was not an easy win for us,” head coach
Rob Oertel said.
Eastern continues its Florida trip tomorrow, March 8 at Embry-Riddle.
