RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team hopes to snap a two-game losing skid Thursday night when the Colonels host OVC foe UT Martin. Tip time is set for 7 p.m.

The Colonels (10-9, 4-3 OVC) are 6-0 at home this season while shooting 49.7 percent from the floor and averaging 74.7 points per game in McBrayer Arena. Senior guard
Joshua Jones will be honored before the start of the contest for reaching 1,000-career points on Jan. 7 against Southeast Missouri.
UT Martin (3-16, 0-6) is still searching for its first OVC win after a 68-55 setback at Eastern Illinois on Jan. 14. Two of the Skyhawks’ six conference losses have been by four points or less including a 73-71 heartbreaker to Southeast Missouri on Jan. 5. Sophomore guard Mike Liabo ranks among the top-10 OVC players in scoring at 15.0 ppg.
The Colonels are 24-15 all-time against UT Martin and 9-3 versus the Skyhawks under head coach
Jeff Neubauer. Eastern has won eight straight meetings over UT Martin in McBrayer Arena. Back in 2002, the Colonels pulled out a 108-100 quadruple overtime win against UTM.

--Eastern Kentucky was held to a season-low 31 percent (13-of-42) shooting from the floor last Saturday at Morehead State. Senior
Jeff Allgood was 0-for-5 from three-point range versus the Eagles. Allgood had made at least one three-pointer in six straight games prior to that contest.

Jaron Jones paced Eastern Kentucky in points (15), rebounds (six) and assists (three) at Morehead State. Jones has led the Colonels in scoring in seven straight games as well as nine of the previous 10 games overall.
