HIGH POINT, N.C. –
After opening the season with nine straight wins Eastern Kentucky will look to put a stop to a two-game losing skid on Friday at High Point.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.  The live radio broadcasts of the games are available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.

After falling at No. 10 Illinois on Sunday, Eastern began its two-game road trip to the Tar Heel state with a loss at North Carolina A&T on Wednesday.  The Colonels had a 17-point first half lead.  It was the first game this season that EKU committed more turnovers than its opponent (19-18).

Senior Mike DiNunno scored a season-high 22 points in the loss.  Junior Jeff Johnson dished out a career-best six assists.

High Point enters Friday’s game with a 4-5 record and having lost two straight.  The Panthers opened the season with wins over two Southern Conference teams -- UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State -- its other two wins have come against non-Division I teams.

John Brown, a 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman forward, leads the team in scoring (17.9 ppg) and blocks (2.2 bpg), and is second in rebounding (6.2 rpg).  He’s hit 53 percent of his shots from the field and has not attempted a three-pointer.  Fellow redshirt freshman Allan Chaney, a 6-foot-9 forward that transferred from Virginia Tech, leads the team in rebounding (8.4 rpg) and is second in scoring (13.8 ppg).  He’s made 54 percent of his shots from the field and 93 percent (27-of-29) from the free throw line.

HPU lost 70-64 at home to Western Michigan on Sunday.  Brown and Chaney each had 20 points and combined for 16 rebounds.  The Panthers shot 36 percent from the field and 14 percent (2-for-14) from three-point range.  WMU turned the ball over 26 times, 13 on High Point steals.  HPU out-scored WMU 35-12 off turnovers.

This will be the third meeting between the two programs.  EKU won in Richmond in 2000 while High Point won the rematch a year later on its home court
