RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team steps out of conference play Tuesday night to take on Mid-Continent.
All general admission tickets, hot dogs and popcorn are just $1. Tip time is set for 7 p.m.
EKU (13-12) is 29-7 (.806) in home non-conference games under head coach
Jeff Neubauer. The Colonels are 8-1 at home overall this season and play five of their final six regular season games in McBrayer Arena. Junior
Mike DiNunno has scored at least 10 points in six of the last seven games. In that stretch, he is averaging 15.4 points per game and shooting 57.7 percent (41-of-71) from the floor.
Mid-Continent (6-17) has won four of its last five games following a 77-74 overtime win at Lyon College on Saturday. Center Steve McBorrough is the only Cougar to start every game this year. The senior is averaging 8.3 ppg and 6.1 rpg.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Mid-Continent is a member of the TranSouth Conference (NAIA). The Cougars also played fellow OVC member Morehead State earlier this season and lost, 83-57. This game will count as an exhibition for Mid-Continent.
