Senior Emilio Piriz
RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team returned home and also returned to the win column Saturday with a 7-0 victory over Eastern Illinois. The Colonels (13-7, 3-1 OVC) had played their last nine matches on the road.

Eastern Kentucky won all six singles matches in straight sets in its first home outdoor match of the season.

“I’m glad the guys played efficient tennis today,” EKU head coach Rob Oertel said. “We have three more important matches ahead in the next five days. I was also very pleased with our play at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.”

The Colonels are back in action tomorrow, April 1 with another home match against SIUE.
