Box Score (PDF)

MARTIN, Tenn.
– The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat at Ohio Valley Conference foe UT Martin on Friday evening at Skyhawk Field.

Rianna Jarrett notched a hat trick for the host Skyhawks, scoring in the 26th, 55th and 87th minutes. Abby Masters added a goal in the 78th minute.

UTM outshot EKU, 34-12, on the night, and 21 of the Skyhawks' shots were on frame. Freshman goalkeeper Anna Hall made a career-high 16 saves for the Colonels, but she could not hold off a relentless UTM attack. Hall's 16 saves are the most by any OVC goalkeeper this fall.

Juniors Amani Thomas and Dani Cant, sophomore Cassie Smith and freshman Emmi Carroll all attempted two shots in the game for EKU. Both of Cant's shots were on goal.

Hall, senior Paige Larkin, juniors Merrissa Vault and Mikala Ferguson and freshman Makenna Sullivan played all 90 minutes of Friday's affair.

EKU returns to action on Sunday when the Colonels travel to Murray State for a 2:00 p.m. first touch.
