RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will hit the road for a pivotal Ohio Valley Conference road trip this weekend, playing at UT Martin on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. and Murray State on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
EKU (3-9-1, 1-2-1 OVC) defeated Tennessee Tech, 2-1, last Friday before falling to Jacksonville State by the same score two days later. The Colonels are currently in eighth place in the conference standings with four points. The top six teams advance to play in the OVC Tournament.

Emmi Carroll scored two second-half goals to lead EKU to a come-from-behind victory over TTU on Friday. Carroll now has four goals and one assist on the year. Senior

Cassie Smith all recorded assists on Carroll's goals.
Smith scored Eastern's lone goal two days later versus JSU. The native of Ashburn, Va. now leads the Colonel offense with five goals and an assist this season.
UT Martin (8-5-0, 2-2-0 OVC) – one of the top programs in the OVC over the last several years – fell to SIUE in Edwardsville, 2-1, last Sunday. The Skyhawks are paced offensively by Rianna Jarrett, who has eight goals and three assists to her name this season.
EKU is 3-6-1 all-time versus UT Martin. The Skyhawks have won three straight over the Colonels dating back to 2011.
Murray State (6-7-0, 2-2-0 OVC) enters the weekend having lost two straight games to Southeast Missouri and SIUE. The Racers host Morehead State on Friday before welcoming EKU to campus on Sunday.
Julie Mooney has scored a team-best nine goals to pace the Racer offense this fall.
EKU is 3-5-1 all-time versus Murray State; however, the Colonels defeated the Racers, 2-0, last year in Richmond. Smith scored a goal in that win, and junior
Amani Thomas assisted on both EKU scores.
EKU will play another road game following this weekend – at SEMO on Friday, Oct. 17 – before returning home to host SIUE next Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1:00 p.m.
