CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team opened its weekend road trip through Ohio with a 4-0 loss to Cleveland State on Friday night.
Vicki Havas put the Vikings (5-4-1) on the board early, scoring off an assist from Kelsey Fischer in the sixth minute. In the 34
th minute, Havas was at it again, scoring off a ball from Chloe Fadenholz. Less than two minutes before halftime, CSU struck again, this time with a goal from Erin O'Toole that made it 3-0 at the break.
Sarak Kaiser scored off a header less than five minutes into the second half to seal the victory for the hosts.
EKU (2-6-0) was outshot in the road loss, 13-7.
