The Musketeers improve to 3-1 with the win while the Colonels fall to 0-3.
Freshman
Ramon van Flymen (No. 3) tallied his first collegiate singles victory by edging Xavier's Matt Bishop in a deciding super tiebreaker, 10-7. Meanwhile, sophomore
Sebastian Mueller notched his first win of the indoor season with a comeback win at the No. 4 spot.
The No. 1 singles match was also a tight affair, but Xavier's Zach Mueck rallied for a three-set win over junior
Alex Álvaro.
Eastern Kentucky's next eight matches are all at home beginning with a doubleheader against Lincoln Memorial and University of the Cumberlands on Feb. 6.
