RICHMOND, Ky. – Following a loss at No. 4 Kentucky on Wednesday, the Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will look to bounce back at Marshall on Saturday night. Tipoff from the Cam Henderson Center is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

JaVontae Hawkins led the Colonels at Rupp, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out five assists.
- Senior
Jarelle Reischel (18.9 points-per-game) and Hawkins (18.8 points-per-game) are No. 2 and No. 3 in the OVC in scoring.
- Reischel went 5-of-5 from the free throw line vs. Kentucky and has now made 22 consecutive free throws dating back to the Savannah State game. The program record is 29 consecutive made free throws.

Paul Jackson played a team-high 35 minutes at the point vs. Kentucky and only turned the ball over once. Jackson leads the OVC in assist-turnover ratio (48/15, 3.2).

Isaac McGlone leads the OVC in three-point field goal percentage (58.3).
- EKU ranks in the top-15 in the country in scoring offense (8th / 88.1 points-per-game), field goal percentage (11th / 51.1), three-point field goal percentage (9th / 43.0) and total assists (11th / 177).
- This is the 40th all-time meeting between EKU and Marshall, but the first meeting since 1994-95. EKU leads the series, 22-17, but has lost three straight to the Thundering Herd. The Colonels' last win over Marshall came on Feb. 16, 1977.
- Marshall (1-6) lost six consecutive games to open the season but defeated OVC team Eastern Illinois, 82-76, on Wednesday at home.
- The Thundering Herd is led by James Kelly, who comes into Saturday's showdown averaging 15.9 points-per-game and 9.6 rebounds-per-game.
