- This is the sixth all-time meeting between EKU and Savannah State. EKU leads the series, 4-1. The Colonels defeated the Tigers, 76-53, last November at McBrayer Arena.
- SSU (4-4) had dropped four straight before defeating Georgia Southern, 76-67, on Wednesday in Savannah. The Tigers are led by Christopher Martin's 14.0 points-per-game and Troyce Manassa's 12.8 points-per- game.
