@EKUHoops to Play at Savannah State on Saturday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will travel to the east coast to face Savannah State on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

- EKU fell to rival Western Kentucky, 86-84, on Tuesday in Bowling Green. WKU's Justin Johnson hit the game-winning three-pointer with 1.4 seconds on the clock. It was his first-career three-pointer.
 
- EKU shot 60 percent (15-of-25) from three-point range in Tuesday's loss at WKU. The Colonels are now second in the country in three-point field goal percentage (47.4).
 
- Eastern is also third in the country in field goal percentage (54.2) and fourth in the country in scoring offense (92.5 ppg).
 
- Junior Jaylen Babb-Harrison came off the bench to lead EKU with 18 points vs. WKU. After the Colonels went down 21-2 to start the game, Babb-Harrison and senior K.J. Bluford combined to go 10-of-13 from behind the arc to spark Eastern's comeback.
 
- Freshman Dujuanta Weaver is fifth in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio (24 assists, 4 turnovers).
 
- Senior Jarelle Reischel leads the OVC in steals-per-game (2.1).
 
- Freshman Nick Mayo is second in the OVC and 21st in the country in field goal percentage (64.2).
 
- This is the sixth all-time meeting between EKU and Savannah State. EKU leads the series, 4-1. The Colonels defeated the Tigers, 76-53, last November at McBrayer Arena.
 
- SSU (4-4) had dropped four straight before defeating Georgia Southern, 76-67, on Wednesday in Savannah. The Tigers are led by Christopher Martin's 14.0 points-per-game and Troyce Manassa's 12.8 points-per- game.
