- EKU (2-4) was defeated by Georgia State, 82-65, on Wednesday in the Cancun Challenge Mayan Division Championship game in Mexico.
 
- Sophomore forward Nick Mayo and senior wing Jaylen Babb-Harrison were named to the Cancun Challenge Mayan Division All-Tournament Team.
 
- EKU currently ranks sixth in the country in free throw shooting (81.0%).
 
- EKU defeated Idaho State, 92-81, in overtime on Tuesday in Cancun. It was head coach Dan McHale's first overtime win as a head coach, and the Colonels' first overtime win since a 71-69 decision over Towson on Nov. 17, 2012.
 
- EKU forced Idaho State into 30 turnovers on Tuesday. That is the most turnovers forced by the Colonels since they forced 32 against Warren Wilson College on Nov. 13, 2013 ... a span of over three years.
 
- Mayo recorded his first double-double of the season against Idaho State, notching 21 points and 10 rebounds. He also dished out a career high four assists.
 
- Babb Harrison poured in 20 points against ISU, while also dishing out a career-high seven assists and matching a career-high with seven rebounds.
 
- Babb-Harrison is 16-of-16 from the free throw line this season and has hit 26 consecutive free throws dating back to last season. The EKU record is 29 consecutive.
 
- EKU broke the Cancun Challenge record for steals in a game with 17 vs. Idaho State.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
- This is the 61st meeting between EKU and Berea, but first since Nov. 18, 1997. EKU leads the all-time series, 36-24; however, Berea won the last matchup between the two teams, 94-88, at McBrayer Arena.
 
- Berea (2-2) comes into the game having lost two straight, including a 71-67 decision to Mount St. Joseph on Tuesday.
 
- The Mountaineers are led by Richard Parker, who is averaging 24.3 points-per-game.
