Mark Elder, will open its 2016 season at Purdue University on Saturday, Sept. 3. The Colonels will play their first home game of the season five days later against the University of Pikeville on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The 11-game 2016 slate includes eight Ohio Valley Conference contests and three non-conference games. EKU will play five games at
Roy Kidd Stadium and six games on the road.
"I can't wait to lead the Colonels onto the field for the first time at Purdue on Sept. 3," Elder said. "I'm looking forward to seeing
Roy Kidd Stadium packed for our home games. Colonel fans are going to make this the toughest place in the country to play."
