RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team is set to host Northern Kentucky on Thursday before heading to Lexington, Virginia to play at the Virginia Military Institute on Saturday.

- EKU's game versus NKU will be streamed live on the OVC Digital Network. The Colonels' game at VMI can been seen live on WatchESPN and the ESPN app.
- EKU (0-2-0) played a statistically even match in its home opener with Xavier on Sunday, but the Colonels eventually succumbed to a 2-0 defeat. Both teams attempted 14 shots in the game. Senior

Jordan Foster scored the Colonels' first goal of 2016 in the 69th minute versus Ball State on Friday. Foster led EKU with 33 shots last season. Eastern fell, 3-1, to the defending Mid-American Conference champions.
- EKU was picked to finish 10th out of 11 teams in the OVC this season. The Colonels went 4-14 (4-6 OVC) last season, finished seventh in the OVC standings and just missed out on the conference tournament for the third consecutive year; however, Eastern won three of its last five games and did not allow more than one goal in any of its last six games.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- NKU (0-2-0) opened the season with road games against Appalachian State on Friday and Cincinnati on Monday.
- The Norse were picked third out of 10 teams in the Horizon League preseason poll and received two first place votes.
- VMI (2-0-0) beat Hampton, 7-0, on Tuesday. Blake Cashin netted a hat trick in the victory.
- This marks the first time EKU has ever played Northern Kentucky or VMI.
