JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Eastern Kentucky University sophomore
Jordan LeVasseur has been named the United Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after recording 13 saves and back-to-back shutouts.
Â
The award marks LeVasseur's second UAC weekly honor this season and the fifth of her career.
Â
A native of Pinckney, Michigan, LeVasseur was the conference's only goalkeeper to record two shutouts last week, helping the Colonels finish 1-0-1 while facing a combined 25 shots against Central Arkansas and Little Rock.
Â
LeVasseur matched her season high with eight saves in Thursday's 1-0 victory over Central Arkansas before adding five saves in Sunday's scoreless draw against Little Rock. The latter marked her fourth shutout of the season and the 10th of her career.
Â
LeVasseur has allowed the fewest goals among UAC goalkeepers this season, recording 53 saves and a .828 save percentage while compiling a 6-4-1 record.
Â
The Colonels have a two-game road trip to the Lone Star State to face Tarleton on Thursday before closing the week at Abilene Christian.
