LEXINGTON, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky picked up a win at No. 3 doubles in a 7-0 loss to 15th ranked Kentucky on Monday.
The duo of
Parth Aggarwal and
Romain Stoffels beat UK's Cesar Bourgois and Jake Stefanik by a score of 6-4 at No. 3 doubles. The Wildcats won the other two doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Kentucky swept the six singles matches. After a 6-0 loss in the first set, Eastern's
Ramon van Flymen pushed Will Bushamuka at No. 1 singles in the second set before falling 7-6 (7-3). Bushamuka is the 23rd ranked player in the nation.
EKU will play its first home match of the 2017 season on Jan. 27 against Lindsey Wilson College at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
