RICHMOND, Ky. – Motivated and poised, the EKU men's tennis team rallied from a 3-0 deficit to pick up its fourth straight win with Sunday's 4-3 win over Xavier University at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
"Today was a great win for our guys," head coach Rob Oertel said. "We were coming off Friday's big win against Samford that really helped our confidence. Down 3-0, our guys' confidence was never shook and we were able to complete the comeback."
 
After splitting the first two doubles matches, the Musketeers clinched the doubles point to go up 1-0 over the Colonels.
 
Xavier added wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles spots to go up 3-0 and a lone point away from clinching the victory. But the Colonels had other intentions.
 
Junior Ramon van Flymen held off Xavier's Jeremy Schneider for a two set win, marking van Flymen's fourth straight win in singles play.
 
Newcomer Jan Kuehling kept the pace and improved to 2-0 on the weekend in singles play to narrow the Xavier lead to one.

Freshman Parth Aggarwal's 6-2, 6-4 win over Nick Werner knotted the score at three, before veteran Diego Asis helped the Colonels to their fourth straight victory with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Nate Dell.
 
The Colonels host Lincoln Memorial University Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Greg Adams Tennis Center. Sunday's match is scheduled for 10 a.m.
