CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University's men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at Austin Peay State University on Friday.

"We have been dodging bullets all year," EKU Head Coach
Rob Oertel said. "Today it came back to bite us. We can't keep losing the doubles point and expect to win 4-3."

Austin Peay (6-11, 3-3 OVC) picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point.

The Colonels (15-8, 4-2 OVC) grabbed the lead with
Diego Asis' 6-2 and 6-2 win at No. 6 singles, and
Jan Kuehling's 6-4 and 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles.

The Governors however earned three-set victories at No. 2, No. 1 and No. 4 singles to win the match.

The Colonels will conclude the regular season with a non-conference match at Purdue on Sunday at 4 p.m.
