NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team sits comfortably coming into Ohio Valley Conference Tournament play as the No. 2 seed.
 
With a first round bye, the Colonels will not see action until Saturday, when they will take on the winner of the No. 3 Jacksonville State versus No. 6 Tennessee State contest.  The semifinal match will be played at 6 p.m. ET at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville.
 
Eastern (15-9, 4-2 OVC) concluded the season with victories in three of its last five conference matchups.
 
If the Colonels win on Saturday they will play in the championship on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
 
Five EKU tennis players posted winning records against conference opponents.  Diego Assis was 14-5 overall this spring and 5-1 against league opponents.  The trio of 
Parth Aggarwal, 
Ramon van Flymen and 
Jan Kuehling all had 4-2 OVC records.  
Sebastian Mueller, playing at No. 1 singles, went 3-3 against the league's best.
 
Guillem Sanchis returned from an injury late in the season and won both of his OVC matches.
 
Eastern Kentucky played eight matches this season that had a final score of 4-3.  The Colonels were 6-2 in those matches.
