NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The men's tennis team lost, 4-0, in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament finals to No. 1 seed Tennessee Tech on Sunday at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville.
The second seeded Colonels conclude their season with a 16-10 record.
Tech (13-6) grabbed the early lead by winning two doubles matches to pick up the doubles point. The Golden Eagles then earned straight set victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles to win the conference championship.
Jan Kuehling rebounded from a first set loss at No. 3 singles to win the second set 6-3 and was up 2-1 in the third when the match ended.
Diego Asis had a 2-1 lead in the first set of his match at No. 6 singles.
