RICHMOND, Ky. – Jordan Oakley, a 6-5 wing out of Louisburg College, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play basketball at Eastern Kentucky University, head coach A.W. Hamilton announced on Tuesday.

Oakley averaged 18.2 points and 8.1 rebounds-per-game for Louisburg in 2017-18, leading the Hurricanes to a 28-6 record and a No. 4 national ranking.

In 2016-17, Oakley posted 13.7 points and 6.1 rebounds-per-game, while helping Louisburg to a 30-5 record and a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) runner-up finish.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Jordan into the EKU basketball family," Hamilton said. "He's a tremendous talent and an even better person. Jordan comes from one of the best junior college programs in the country, where he played for an elite coach in Neil Dixon. He understands what it takes to win, on and off the floor. Jordan will have an immediate impact on our program."

Oakley is a native of La Plata, Maryland, where he put together a standout prep career at La Plata High School.

He is Hamilton's third signee in the class of 2018, joining North Carolina State transfer Darius Hicks (Quitman, Mississippi) and incoming freshman Tre King (Lexington, Kentucky).
