RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team is back in action on Tuesday, August 21, when the Colonels travel to Johnson City, Tennessee to take on East Tennessee State. First touch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

- EKU (0-1) nearly went on the road and beat Cincinnati in its season opener last Thursday night. The Colonels took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute when
Erin Torrence headed in a goal off a cross from
Katie Shaffer, and they held that lead for a majority of the game. However, Cincinnati scored two quick goals late in the game to escape with the victory.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- ETSU (0-1) fell to George Mason, 1-0, on a late goal in its season opener on Thursday.
- The Buccaneers went 6-12 last season.
- The all-time series between EKU and ETSU is tied at 1-1. The Colonels defeated the Bucs, 3-1, last year in Richmond. Bounds and
Monica Rios both scored in that win.
