BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team dropped a road match at Gardner-Webb, 2-1, on Friday evening at Greene-Harbison Stadium.
Like in Sunday's win over Kentucky,
Kylie Thompson got the Colonels off to a quick start. The sophomore from Danville scored her second goal in as many games in the eighth minute, giving EKU (4-3-0) an early 1-0 lead.
Gardner-Webb (3-3-1) leveled in the 20
th minute when Stina Kleppe converted a penalty kick to make it 1-1.
The Runnin' Bulldogs got the game-winner in the 52
