RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will host Chattanooga in its 2019-20 season opener on Tuesday night. Tip from McBrayer Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO-100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.

WHAT TO KNOW
Eastern routed Berea College, 113-63, in its lone exhibition last Thursday. The Colonels attempted 91 shots and forced Berea into 25 turnovers on the night.
Sophomore
Jomaru Brown and senior
Lachlan Anderson both scored 19 points to pace six Colonels in double figures vs. Berea.
Brown was voted to the Preseason All-OVC Team late last month. The guard from Raleigh, North Carolina earned OVC All-Newcomer Team honors last year after averaging 14.4 points-per-game (16.9 points-per-game during OVC play) as a freshman.
The Colonels broke the EKU single season record for steals in 2018-19 (317).
EKU ranked 13th in the country in scoring in 2018-19 (82.6 points-per-game). The Colonels also ranked second in the country in steals/game (10.2) and turnovers forced/game (18.2).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Chattanooga went 12-20 (7-11 SoCon) last season.
The Mocs return only one of their top four scorers from last year – 6-8 forward Ramon Vila (10.2 points-per-game).
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between EKU and Chattanooga. The Colonels lead the series, 3-1, and defeated the Mocs, 81-78, last November in Chattanooga.
Nick Mayo scored 40 in that win.
