GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will close out the non-conference schedule by playing at East Carolina on Saturday afternoon. Tip from Williams Arena is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.

WHAT TO KNOW
Freshman
Michael Moreno nearly averaged a double-double last week (11.0 points-per-game / 9.5 rebounds-per-game). Twelve of his 19 rebounds over the week were offensive rebounds.
Sophomore
Tre King (6th / 2.5 offensive rebounds-per-game) and Moreno (8th / 2.3 offensive rebounds-per-game) both rank in the top-10 in the OVC in offensive rebounding.
King ranks 39th in the NCAA in free throw percentage (88.6%). He is one of only three players in the country 6'8" or taller shooting better than 88% from the stripe this season.
Senior
Ty Taylor matched his season high with 20 points last Saturday vs. Charleston Southern. Taylor has scored in double figures in eight straight games, and he now ranks 10th in the OVC in scoring at 13.3 points-per-game.
EKU (3-9) ranks second in the NCAA in turnovers forced-per-game (21.2) and fifth in the country in steals-per-game (10.7). The Colonels lead the OVC in turnover margin at +4.8.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
East Carolina (5-7) has won three straight games, including a 60-56 victory over Charlotte on December 22 at home.
Jayden Gardner averages 20.3 points-per-game for the Pirates.
This is the first-ever meeting between Eastern Kentucky and East Carolina.
