MOREHEAD, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky's baseball team dropped game two of its Ohio Valley Conference series at Morehead State, 7-5, on Saturday.

With EKU trailing 3-0 in the top of the fifth,
Chris Botsoe hit a two-run home run over the wall in left field to get the Colonels (11-7, 0-2 OVC) back in the game. Eastern tied the game, 3-3, in the sixth on a run scoring single from
Daniel Harris IV.

The Eagles (13-5, 3-2 OVC) had the answer in the bottom half of the sixth. With the bases loaded, Connor Pauly lifted the ball down the short right field line at Allen Field for a grand slam.

Trailing by three, 7-4, the Colonels loaded the bases in the ninth with one out. Morehead State's third error in the inning allowed one run to score, but that is as close as the visitors got.

Will Johnson and
Ryland Kerr each had two hits and scored a run for EKU. Botsoe finished 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs. Pauly had a 2-for-5 day with a run and five RBIs for the Eagles.
