RICHMOND, Ky. – Abby Wright had a deep look from three with 0.8 seconds left, but her heave fell short as the Eastern Kentucky women's basketball team fell to Morehead State, 64-61, on Saturday at McBrayer Arena.

The Eagles led by three with just under a minute and a half remaining in the game.
Bria Bass drew a foul with 1:06 left, but only hit the first of her free throw attempts. Morehead failed to score on its ensuing possession and Bass came down with the rebound. Mckenzie Calvert picked Bass' pocket at mid-court, forcing the Colonels to foul twice.

Calvert hit her first attempt at the charity stripe, but her second shot hit rim and fell into the hands of
Catie Kaifes with just 0.8 seconds left.

The Colonels (2-27, 0-18 OVC) led by as many as 12 points in the second quarter.

Wright capped her career as a Colonel by tying her career-best with 24 points, including a pair of threes and 8-of-14 shooting from the free throw line. Kaifes and Bass tagged on 10 points apiece, with Bass grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds.

Morehead State (22-9, 13-5 OVC) was led by Crockett's 33-points, going 13-of-19 from the field. Aliyah Jeune contributed 11 points while Tierra McGowan led the team with six rebounds.
